Each Sunday at 11:00am, a diverse body of Christ-followers and seekers of various ages, ethnicities, and cultures joins together to worship God through a celebration involving contemporary Gospel music and dance, Biblical expository preaching and teaching, prayer and testimony, and a free community meal. Educational classes for children take place during the time of preaching.

Each July on a Friday night, South Central comes alive with barbeque, cotton candy, sno cones, inflatable games, live music and dancing, a dunk tank, cake walks, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and many other activities free of charge to urban Muncie residents.

Urban Light Community Garden was established in 2003 as a way for community members to work together and eat together while creating beauty in our neighborhood. Located on a vacant lot on the corner of Jefferson St. and 6th St., the Community Garden provides free, fresh produce for neighborhood residents. Anyone who desires can take part in planting, weeding, watering and at last enjoying the fruits of their labors. The community garden is a service of the Urban Light CDC. Please click on the

Sunday evening youth from 6th to 12th grade meet to hangout, dance, sing, eat and talk about what it looks like to follow Jesus. Youth @ ULCC are encouraged to lead now and actively serve at Urban Light.

Connect Groups are intended to build a sense of family and further the mission of reconciling to God and each other by meeting in smaller groups throughout the week. Groups will meet in people's homes (the Host) and be led by Leaders. Group topics will be determined by the group Leaders and Host and will cover a variety of subjects including Bible study, Prayer and Praise, Fellowship, etc. Groups will meet for 3 months and then break for a time of evaluation and regrouping.

Urban Light facilitates a time for indivules who are actively struggling with addictions. This can range from substance abuse issues to self abuse issues. This is a safe place for anyone to join and find support.

Urban Light Community Church launched a non-profit, Urban Light Christian Development Corporation (CDC) which exist to invest in our community through housing redevelopment, home ownership training, and educational initiatives. click on the link to visit the CDC website to learn more.

Urban Light currently engages in international missions in Columbia, Kenya, Haiti, and Congo. Urban Light organizes short term mission teams yearly to serve God alongside of our brothers and sisters around the world. Wayside Mission will provide a safe home for up to 6 women while they work through a program to transition from old patterns or are reentering society from a time of incarceration. With a Christ centered program, we pray to see women set free from the bondage of addiction and aid in the reduction of recidivism here in Muncie. Wayside Mission is a service of the Urban Light CDC.
